Senior Research Manager (Tokyo)

We are looking for an exceptional Research Manager to join our team in Tokyo. The Research Manager will help manage the end-to-end research process and be a key contact for the client to ensure each project meets and exceeds the client’s expectations. You will be working on our key account who are a major Fast Food outlet in Japan.

The successful applicant will ideally be based in Tokyo but we are open to applicants from outside Tokyo for a remote-working arrangement. Native-level or very high proficiency in Japanese is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain ongoing relationships with stakeholders within our key account.
Manage research projects end-to-end: from questionnaire design, survey set up, fieldwork, data processing, analysis and report writing.
Work with the client to design questionnaires and analyze data to directly answer key business questions.
Build professional reports and compelling presentations and deliver to senior marketing executives.
Provide support to clients by responding to ad-hoc requests and questions in a timely and efficient manner.
Attend client meetings to understand business issues in order to drive research and analysis on the performance of our marketing campaigns, new product initiatives, promotions and advertising.

Required Experience + Skills

Proven experience as a customer facing Account Director or Researcher within the market research industry.
Strong experience in research, insights and analytics.
Strong grasp of statistical concepts + questionnaire design.
Ability to create a story and create insights using data and analytics
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office （Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Native or near-native level Japanese skills
Business-level English skills
